LCAL is an aircraft leasing company set up with the specific aim to acquire and lease the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, and having been the first leasing company to order this revolution in passenger aircraft, LCAL holds launch customer status.

Officially launched in April 2004, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner is the most successful commercial aircraft rollout in history: A super efficient 200-to-300 seat aircraft, the 787 employs new engine and materials technologies providing airlines with a 20% fuel efficiency, over comparable aircraft, with even greater maintenance efficiencies.
